What do you get when you cross a band that I already like with my very favorite blues/rock vocalist in the business?
You get the new and improved Austin, TX based band The Boneshakers. The collaboration of the guitar wizardry of Boneshaker original Randy Jacobs with the incredible vocal
talents of Austin's finest larynx as found on former Storyville front man Malford Milligan has produced their first (hopefully of many) CD "Pouring Gasoline". Add a few
special guests like Billy Preston, Dave Immergluck of Counting Crows, and former Boneshakers member Sweet Pea Atkinson and you have the makings of an absolute classic
recording.

The material reflects the multi-dimensional talents of guitarist Jacobs and includes samplings of Texas blues/rock, funk, jazz, pop, and several variations in between.
Jacobs also wrote several excellent songs for this recording. But, it is the addition of the powerful and passionate vocals of Milligan that transform this band from a really good
band to an automatic contender for the world championship belt. Malford Milligan is simply just the finest vocalist of this genre and if he were to record the Alphabet Song with a
New Kids On The Block cover on the B side, I would still buy the record.
Take a listen to tunes like "Sugar Girl", "Hand Over Fist, Heart Over Mind", and "What's Real Is True" featuring Billy Preston on organ to see the beautiful face of the
child resulting from the marriage of the guitar and lyrical talents of Jacobs with the tremendous God given vocal genius of Milligan. It's good stuff, I'm here to tell
you.
"Pouring Gasoline" is available from the official Boneshakers web site at www.theboneshakersonline.com .
I hope there are many more yet to come from them.
